Hamdan bin Mubarak congratulates WC 2026 referees

His Excellency commended the high standards attained by Emirati referees, underscoring their ongoing achievements at domestic, continental, and international levels.

He said that the appointment of a UAE officiating team for the world’s biggest football event reflects the confidence of the global football family in the competence of Emirati referees, who have consistently proven themselves across various competitions.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that developing the local refereeing system is a top priority for the board of the UAE Football Association, which aims to provide an ideal environment to nurture refereeing talent and enable further achievements on the international stage.

He also praised the work of the Referees Committee and the refereeing department, and he wished the UAE refereeing team the best of luck in representing the country at this global event.
