The club’s athletes triumphed, securing 18 medals in total: 7 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze.
His Excellency Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board, expressed that disabled sports are fortunate to have the support of visionary leadership, which has provided all the necessary resources for success, aiming to win titles. He extended his gratitude to all the supporting organisations, especially the Sharjah Sports Council, for their unwavering support of people with disabilities. He praised the remarkable results achieved by the club’s athletes, noting that the club’s champions always meet expectations and commending their strong performance in a competition featuring world-class athletes.
Mr Abdullah Said Al Harithi, Head of the Club’s Delegation, expressed his pleasure at leading the delegation to the event. He noted that the event was a significant addition to the international competitions in which the club’s athletes participate, highlighting that such exposure to world-class athletes helps raise their technical skills and experience, benefiting the UAE teams and playing a vital role in preparing the athletes.
He added that the Oman International Athletics Meet is one of the key tournaments in the region, as it brings together some of the best athletes, providing an excellent opportunity for Gulf and Arab athletes to compete against them. He commended the superb level of organisation and emphasised that this is no surprise from the Omani organisers.
Al Harithi also thanked the Oman Paralympic Committee for their efforts in hosting this prestigious event.
