SCC Committee bolsters Sharjah development policies

Sharjah24: The meeting centred on discussing the committee's agenda and formulating future strategic plans aimed at supporting various vital sectors within the emirate in accordance with its parliamentary mandate.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the achievements of the previous two parliamentary sessions and made the necessary preparations to continue its work in the current session. The committee emphasised improving the education sector at all levels, advancing media, culture, heritage, and antiquities, and supporting and empowering youth to actively take part in society.

The meeting was chaired by Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi, with the participation of committee members: Yousef Mohammed Al Mazrouei, the committee's rapporteur; Kulthum Saif Al Tunaiji; Mouza Maadad Bin Huwaiden; and Dr Ahmed Saleh Al Naqbi. Also present from the General Secretariat of the Council were Amna Salem Baslaib, Abdullah Al Sufi, and Sumaya Mohammed Jassim.

Establishing clear and sustainable foundations for vital sectors

Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi, Chair of the Committee, highlighted the committee's dedication to building clear and sustainable foundations for vital sectors, ensuring their growth aligns with the Emirate of Sharjah's vision for comprehensive development. She underlined the importance of on-site monitoring and ongoing communication with relevant bodies to address challenges, develop suitable solutions, and strengthen cooperation across various sectors to meet strategic objectives that benefit the entire community.

Supporting institutional development policies

The meeting reaffirmed the Consultative Council's commitment to supporting institutional development policies and enhancing the quality of educational, cultural, and media services. This contributes to creating an advanced knowledge and cultural environment that reflects the aspirations of young people and aligns with the Emirate's future vision across all sectors.
