At the start of the session, Her Excellency Halima Humaid, Chairperson of the Council, said: "We extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates, for its continuous efforts to enhance security, stability, and prosperity in the country. The UAE has demonstrated its ability to manage various circumstances effectively and with balance, based on qualified national cadres and comprehensive coordination among the parties, which boosts public confidence and makes the UAE a safe and stable environment where everyone lives in peace and tranquillity."
She added: "The UAE will remain, God willing, an oasis of security and safety for everyone living on its land. The wisdom of the leadership and societal cohesion form the foundation for the stability and prosperity achieved, and everyone on this earth enjoys protection and care, which makes tranquillity a daily practice in all aspects of life."
Later, during the session, the Council discussed the recommendations received from the Committee for the Preparation of the Council's draft recommendations on the policy of the Real Estate Registration Department, which was read out by His Excellency Dr Sultan Khamis Al Zaabi, Rapporteur of the Committee, reviewing the summary of what took place in the eleventh plenary session and the main points that support the work system in the Department and promote its aspirations towards achieving sustainable development and maintaining the real estate boom.
It was stated that the Sharjah Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah discussed in its eleventh plenary session the policy of the Real Estate Registration Department on Monday, 28 Shaaban 1447 AH, corresponding to 16 February 2026, as part of its work for the third ordinary session of the eleventh legislative term. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, and His Excellency Abdulaziz Rashid Al Saleh, Director of the Department, along with their accompanying officials. After the Council discussed all the pillars that support the work system in the Department, it issued recommendations emphasising the continuation of aspirations in line with the demands of the urban and investment growth observed in the Emirate, and aimed at enhancing the legal stability of the real estate sector.
She called for further simplifying registration and documentation procedures, speeding up transaction completions, and expanding digital services, while emphasising the need to overcome procedures related to properties associated with heirs.
The recommendations highlighted the Consultative Council's enthusiasm to assist government departments by offering practical and relevant suggestions that help improve institutional performance and foster integration among different entities. This reflects positively on the service provided to citizens and residents and enhances the overall development process in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Her Excellency Halima Humaid, Chairperson of the Council, expressed gratitude to the Committee for the Preparation of the Draft Recommendations, the Public Utilities Committee in the Council, and the members of the applicants for their valued efforts in participating and thoroughly preparing the topic of discussion.
