AQU celebrates young talents at the Second Women Poets' Forum

Sharjah 24: Al Qasimia University (AQU) held its second Women Poets' Forum, titled "My Country, an Endless Poem of Pride," in line with its mission to promote national identity and nurture literary talents and creativity. The event was held in the presence of His Excellency Professor Dr Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of AQU.

The forum, organised by the Deanship of Student Affairs, saw wide participation from female students from universities across the UAE, including the United Arab Emirates University, the University of Sharjah, the University of Kalba (UKB), the University of Khorfakkan University (UKF), and Al Qasimia University itself. This event was part of the university's celebrations for the upcoming UAE’s 52nd Union Day, expressing pride in national values and reinforcing a sense of belonging and loyalty to the nation and its leadership.

Celebrating the UAE journey

The participating poets presented a selection of patriotic poems that expressed pride in the UAE's journey, achievements, and wise leadership, reflecting a high level of talent and cultural awareness.

In conclusion, His Excellency Professor Dr Awad Al Khalaf honoured the participating universities and distinguished female students, with the participation of Professor Ahlam Bin Jarash, Assistant Director of the University for Student Affairs, praising the creative level of the female poets and the rich poetic presence they presented, which contributed to the success of the forum, and stressing that the forum embodies the university’s keenness to embrace student talents and provide platforms that highlight their abilities, and enhance the spirit of national belonging and communication between the country’s universities.
