On this occasion, His Excellency Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of SBA, affirmed that the 54th Eid Al Etihad is a national occasion dear to all hearts, embodying the golden journey of unity and the achievements of the nation. As part of SBA celebration of this occasion, a distinctive programming plan has been prepared that reflects the spirit of unity and the values of coexistence and tolerance that characterise the UAE.
His Excellency added: “We are certain that the media plays a pivotal role in strengthening national identity and instiling the values of the Union in the rising generations. We will continue our role in providing media content that reflects the nation’s achievements and embodies loyalty and love for our wise leadership.”
The programming schedule will launch with a unified broadcast across all SBA channels on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day (Pride and Honour) on Sunday, November 30, starting at 10:00 AM. The programme will highlight the martyr’s status as a symbol of sacrifice and pride. It will host prominent figures who will discuss the commemoration of Martyrs’ Day and its noble and lofty messages and values.
The unified broadcast will reappear across SBA channels on Monday, December 1, with the programme “Joy of a Nation,” which will run for approximately 11 hours, from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM. In addition to Sharjah TV, Sharjah Sports Channel, Al Wusta Channel from Al Dhaid, Al Sharqiya Channel from Kalba, and Sharjah Radio will also participate in this broadcast. The programme will be broadcast from various locations across the Emirate of Sharjah, including Aljada, Al Layyah Canal, Al Wusta Canal Park, and Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, to cover the diverse events and celebrations marking this cherished occasion for Emiratis and residents alike.
On December 2nd, the Authority's channels will join the coverage with the programme "Long live my Emirates," which will be broadcast as part of the unified national broadcast. Sharjah TV's contribution will air from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, focusing on the pioneering civilisational journey of the United Arab Emirates.
Sharjah TV is also producing the programme "A Nation for All," airing on December 1st and 2nd. This programme highlights the unique model of coexistence in the UAE, showcasing it as a nation that embraces all groups and nationalities and provides them with opportunities for a dignified life.
Al Sharqiyah TV broadcast live from Kalba, covering a wide range of celebrations from cities in the Eastern Region for the UAE's 54th Eid Al Etihad. The coverage included events in Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, and Wadi Al Helo, and will continue with a live broadcast from Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on Monday as part of the Authority's unified broadcast, "A Nation's Joy," starting at 6:30 PM.
Al Wusta TV, based in Al Dhaid, is covering the 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations with a special programme throughout the day. Coverage begins with "Central Region Celebrations," which documents all the events across the various cities and regions of the Central Region. The morning programme, "Central Region Diaries," also highlights the celebrations in the Central Region and features diverse segments hosting prominent community figures to discuss the achievements of the Union and the spirit of belonging to the generous nation.
Sharjah Sports Channel is also covering the Eid Al Etihad celebrations through active participation in the unified broadcast of the Authority's channels, "Joy of a Nation," and the unified broadcast across the country's channels, "Long live my Emirates," showcasing the journey of sporting achievements. The channel is also refocusing its programming to highlight the sporting renaissance in the UAE. On its digital platforms, the channel is offering focused segments documenting the sporting aspect of the nation's journey, in addition to live broadcasts of tournaments held in the emirate during the celebrations, such as the Falconers Club's Telwah Championship, along with coverage of the activities of clubs and federations and their participation in the 54th Eid Al Etihad events.
Sharjah TV 2 has prepared a special lineup of programmes for the 54th Eid Al Etihad, presented in four languages. The English talk show, hosted by Ismail Buluk, will air on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2nd and 3rd, at 8:30 PM. The documentary "Spirit of the Union," produced by Umair Buluk, will be shown on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 7:30 PM. The Swahili programme, "54th Eid Al Etihad," will air on December 2nd at 2:00 PM, hosted by Abdulwahab Krangwa. The Urdu programme, hosted by Samihuddin Ahmed, will air on December 2nd and 3rd at 3:00 PM. Additionally, the Persian programme, produced and presented by Mohammed Abdullah Kashtkar, will air at 1:30 PM.
Sharjah Radio is also sharing in the joy of the 54th Eid Al Etihad with its listeners through a variety of programmes and segments. On December 1st, Sharjah Radio will broadcast the unified programme "Farhat Watan" (Joy of a Nation) across the SBA channels. On December 2nd, Sharjah Radio will air the programme "Huna Al Emarat" (Here is the Emirates) in three segments, starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 9:30 PM. The station has also prepared a selection of recorded programmes, including "Yad Bi Yad" (Hand in Hand), presented by Mariam Al Ajil and Shaikha Bin Khamis; "Watan Al Shi'r Wal Riyaan" (A Nation of Poetry and Eloquence), presented by poet Abdullah Al Hadiya; and the historical national programme "Zayed Al Insan" (Zayed the Man), which tells the story of the UAE's unification, prepared and presented by Shaikha Al Mutairi and Dr. Khawla Hayaz Al Alili. A special Eid Al Etihadepisode of "Mishwar Al Youm" (Today's Journey) will air from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Sharjah Radio will also present more than nine short national segments, totaling 82 episodes, dedicated to the 54th Eid Al Etihad.

It takes listeners on a journey through aspects of Emirati heritage such as Arabic coffee, pearl diving, mangrove trees, and traditional music. The programme also explores the story behind the naming of the 54th Eid Al Etihad, covers national events across the Emirates, and includes segments on popular walking and sports routes, as well as how families celebrate the occasion. The English-language radio station also broadcasts 12 special segments throughout the day highlighting the role of the seven emirates in the union and introducing prominent residents who have contributed to the country's economic growth and development.
The 'Maraya' platform allows viewers to follow live coverage from all channels, offering diverse content to keep pace with the 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations. For its part, the Authority’s digital media covers all that is broadcast by channels and radio stations, highlighting official and popular activities and events related to the occasion in the smiling emirate, to give the public an integrated experience that conveys the joy and highlights the achievements that the country has made during its golden journey.
