On this special occasion, cherished by citizens and residents, the channel’s programmes will showcase the colours of the national flag, beginning with live coverage from Kalba on 20 November from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the rear courtyard of Sheikh Saeed Al Qasimi House. A selection of guests and local dignitaries will speak about the significance of the occasion and its role in fostering unity and national identity, while highlighting developmental and cultural achievements across the UAE, especially in Sharjah’s Eastern Region. The coverage will include a variety of field segments, interactive content, and live broadcasts of different events.
The channel will continue with live coverage from Dibba Al Hisn on Saturday, 22 November, from 7 pm to 9 pm at Flag Island. The broadcast will feature diverse segments highlighting the national significance of the day, the large attendance of residents and visitors, and interviews with community and youth figures discussing the meaning of union and how such celebrations strengthen Emirati identity and pride.
Al Sharqiya from Kalba will also broadcast Eid Al Etihad celebrations from Wadi Al Helo on Sunday, 23 November, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the heritage village. From Khorfakkan, live coverage will continue from Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on Sunday, 1 December, from 7pm to 9pm, featuring various segments reflecting Emiratis’ attachment to their homeland and pride in the achievements of the country’s wise leadership.
To reach the broadest possible audience, events will also be streamed via the Maraya digital platform of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, enabling viewers to watch live from any location and on multiple smart devices. Digital media will offer real-time updates across all Al Sharqiya from Kalba social media accounts.
Ismail Issa Al Hosani, Director of Al Sharqiya from Kalba, emphasised the importance of these celebrations in fostering a sense of belonging and pride across all segments of society. He confirmed the channel’s commitment to providing comprehensive coverage befitting this cherished occasion.
