The evening was hosted by Moroccan poet Mariam Kouiss, who warmly welcomed the audience and praised His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unwavering support of creativity. She described him as “the beating heart of the Arab cultural project”, whose vision has transformed culture into a message and creativity into a responsibility.
Yemeni poet Zohair Al Tahari began the readings with verses praising the UAE and the spirit of the Union, followed by a poem dedicated to Sharjah, full of vivid imagery and emotional depth. He concluded with “A Bow in the Glass of the Body,” contemplating the universe through poetic reflection.
Nigerian poet Ali Mustafa Loun then stepped onto the stage, dedicating his opening poem to the UAE before reciting verses offered to the Ruler of Sharjah. His performance included a vivid poetic piece titled 'A Dance on the Panels.'
The evening ended with Senegalese poet Mohamed Al Amin Diop, who began by honouring the UAE on Eid Al Etihad, followed by his poem 'A Sudden Fall from the Window of Life.'
At the end of the evening, Mohammed Al Buraiki presented commemorative honours to the participating poets, celebrating their contributions to a night of creativity, unity, and cultural exchange.
