Jaber was honoured at the closing ceremony of the 35th edition of Sharjah Theatre Days, held at the Cultural Palace, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, alongside a distinguished gathering of Arab theatre artists and creatives.
The honour recognises Jaber’s long-standing career, during which he presented pioneering theatrical works and contributed to strengthening the presence of Gulf and Arab theatre.
He is considered one of the most influential figures in Arab theatre history, leaving a lasting impact through his artistic achievements.
In remarks to “Sharjah24”, Jaber expressed his deep appreciation for the honour and extended his gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his ongoing support of culture and the arts.
He praised Sharjah’s cultural vision and its dedication to fostering creativity and progressing the Arab cultural scene.
Jaber also thanked the Theatre Department at the Sharjah Department of Culture, recognising that the award is a source of pride not only for him but also for Kuwaiti and Gulf theatre. It also serves as motivation to continue contributing to the development of the theatrical arts.
