Sharjah 24: The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club's Olympic Canoe Kayak team is making its official international debut in the President's Cup International Olympic Canoe Kayak Championship in the Republic of India. This marks a historic milestone for the club, reflecting its vision for marine sports development and commitment to nurturing talent.

Championship details

The championship is being held on Tehri Lake from November 26 to December 1, 2025. The club's delegation includes six athletes: Rashid Elias Al Askar, Issa Ahmed Al Hosani, Hassan Ismail Al Hosani, Hamid Ismail Al Hosani, Zayed Al Naqbi, and Mohammed Jassim. They are accompanied by Captain Younis Sharar, Captain Emad Bin Abdullah, and Captain Jason James. Athletes will compete in 200m, 500m, and 1000m races across singles, doubles, and quads categories.

This participation reinforces the club's position as a leading marine sports institution in the UAE. It provides athletes the opportunity to hone their skills under international competitive conditions and aligns with the club’s strategic plan to expand international participation and cultivate a new generation of champions capable of representing the UAE globally.
