Dr Jihan Elias, who hosted the evening, welcomed everyone and thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for supporting creative events like this one. She emphasized that the cultural scene in Sharjah has thrived thanks to his guidance and support, highlighting his belief that poetry is essential for maintaining the nation’s identity and enriching its culture.

At the end of the evening, Al Buraiki recognized and honored all the participating poets for their contributions.
