This achievement reflects sustained efforts in developing and refining players’ skills from an early age. Mleiha athletes delivered outstanding technical performances, securing podium finishes across three world championships against elite young competitors from around the globe.
Club athletes Saeed Omar Saeed Al Ketbi, Hamdan Hamad Al Qaidi and Mohammed Khaled Al Qaidi each won three medals: two silver medals in the Biathle and Triathle team events, and one bronze medal in the Laser Run team event. This brought the team’s total tally to nine world medals.
Mohammed Sultan Khasouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of Mleiha Cultural Sports Club, expressed his pride in the achievement, praising the athletes’ strong performances and noting that the results reflect the success of the club’s strategy in building a solid sporting foundation and developing young talent.
He added that securing this number of medals at a world championship for such a young age group highlights the quality of both technical and administrative work, as well as the strong support provided to youth categories in cooperation with the federation and the national team.
Al Ketbi reaffirmed the club’s commitment to its development programmes and to providing a comprehensive training environment capable of preparing athletes to compete internationally and raise the UAE flag at regional and global events. He concluded by congratulating the players, their families, and the technical and administrative teams, wishing them continued success in future competitions.
