The Thunder entered the match following only their second defeat of the season, which came at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday in the NBA Cup semifinals, ending their personal record streak at 16 consecutive victories.
However, thanks to 32 points across three quarters from their Canadian star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, they regained their rhythm and secured their 13th home win in as many games so far.
Gilgeous-Alexander made 13 of 24 attempts, added 7 rebounds and 6 assists before resting in the final quarter.
The Canadian star reached 20 points or more for the 98th consecutive game, marking the second-longest streak of its kind in league history.
