Khaled Al Abdouli, who oversees one of the shelters, mentioned that there were 35 participants in total. This included 19 individuals from the shelters, as well as staff members, nursing assistants, a doctor, and an imam.
Al Abdouli expressed gratitude for the generous support received from sponsors who helped make this trip possible. He highlighted how this partnership shows the commitment of organizations in Sharjah to help those in need.
The Chairman of the Outbound Travel Committee also thanked the Sharjah Civil Aviation Authority for providing free travel tickets for everyone, showcasing their dedication to social responsibility and humanitarian efforts. Additionally, he acknowledged the Sharjah Charity International for their financial support, which helped cover hotel stays and transportation costs. This teamwork between government and charitable organizations played a key role in the trip's success, bringing happiness and peace of mind to the participants.
The five-day journey took place from December 19 to December 23 and included not only the performance of Umrah but also a visit to Medina before returning home.
