Daka rescues Zambia against Mali at AFCON

Patson Daka saved Zambia from defeat by scoring a dramatic last-gasp equalizer in the second minute of stoppage time in Casablanca, bringing the match to a close and concluding the first round of Group A fixtures.

Mali take the lead

Mali had gone ahead in the 61st minute through Auxerre striker Lassine Seynoko, putting Zambia under pressure for much of the second half.

Group A standings

Both teams earned one point from the draw. Group A is currently led by Morocco, who sit on three points following their victory over Comoros in the opening match.
