SAM visits DEWA to explore best quality management practices

Sharjah24: Sharjah Asset Management (SAM), the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, made an official visit to the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to review best practices in quality management, with a focus on the Integrated Management System and its alignment with corporate governance frameworks.

During the visit, the SAM delegation was briefed on DEWA’s experience in developing and implementing integrated quality systems in line with international standards. The discussions covered implementation challenges, the solutions adopted to overcome them, and the impact of these systems on institutional performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Exchange of expertise and innovation culture

The visit also featured an exchange of knowledge on embedding a culture of institutional innovation and sustaining excellence through best practices in quality management. Both sides discussed the role of quality systems in supporting corporate governance and ensuring effective integration across management frameworks.

The Sharjah Asset Management delegation comprised Hajir Al Eisa, Director of the Excellence Department; Amani Kamel Mohammed Abdullah, Acting Quality Manager; Sara Eid Badawi, Head of the Governance Section; Mahmoud Ahmed Al Anati, Excellence Specialist; and Heba Mousa Mohammed Barakat, Excellence Officer.

Strengthening government excellence

Hajir Al Eisa praised DEWA’s pioneering experience in quality management, describing the visit as productive and inspiring and highlighting the value of such exchanges in supporting government excellence and exploring future cooperation.

The visit concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between the two entities.
