Sharjah24: Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) is participating in the 21st edition of SteelFab 2026, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest metalworking and steel fabrication exhibition, organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event runs until 15 January at Expo Centre Sharjah.

During the exhibition, HFZA is presenting its dedicated industrial manufacturing park as a preferred destination for steel, iron, welding and metallurgy companies. The free zone currently hosts more than 450 companies in these sectors, reinforcing its position as a regional hub for heavy industries serving Middle East and African markets.

Strategic location and logistics integration

HFZA is highlighting its competitive advantages, including direct access to a 14-metre-deep commercial port, integrated logistics services, modern industrial facilities and a business-friendly regulatory framework that supports import, export and re-export operations with efficiency and flexibility.

Leadership perspective

His Excellency Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, said SteelFab provides a strategic platform for engaging global investors and manufacturers, noting that the steel sector occupies around 50 million square feet within the free zone, representing 16% of its total area, underscoring the sector’s economic impact.
