Bait Elowal launches cinema and dining nights in Sharjah

Sharjah24: Bait Elowal has announced the launch of Cinema and Dining, an immersive cultural experience combining curated film screenings with thoughtfully designed dining, in collaboration with Cinema Akil and with the support of the Xposure International Photography Festival.

Running every Friday and Saturday from January 16 to 31, the programme will be hosted in the courtyard of the restored heritage house in the Heart of Sharjah. Evenings will feature intimate film screenings paired with bespoke dining experiences, offering audiences a multisensory journey in which storytelling unfolds through cinema, place and taste.

Celebrating storytelling through place and culture

Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the visionary behind Bait Elowal, said the initiative reflects Sharjah’s approach to sharing heritage through contemporary cultural expressions, creating a holistic experience that brings together imagery, memory and gastronomy.

Her Excellency Alya Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, noted that the collaboration aligns with Xposure’s mission to broaden the horizons of visual storytelling and foster cross-cultural exchange.

Cinema Akil founder Butheina Kazim said the programme brings together film, heritage and hospitality, inviting audiences to engage with stories that resonate across regional and global contexts.
