Sharqiyah Kalba Maritime Festival returns for second edition

Ismail Issa Al Hosani, Director of Al Sharqiya from Kalba, announced the festival’s details during a press conference held on Thursday.

Heritage championships and competitions

The festival will feature a variety of heritage championships and competitions, including the Sharqiyah Kalba Traditional Rowing Championship, alongside other maritime heritage contests held across the festival grounds.

Family and community activities

The event will also include a full heritage village, competitions with prizes, and numerous workshops and activities for families and children. These events aim to provide a rich cultural and entertainment experience for visitors.

Cultural and tourism goals

Al Hosani stated that the festival seeks to revive maritime heritage, strengthen national identity, and attract a wide range of community segments in a festive atmosphere that reflects Kalba’s cultural and touristic importance.
