Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Fish Resources Authority held its second annual ceremony to review 2025 achievements and launch its new 2026 strategy, attended by Chairman His Excellency Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, cooperative society leaders, and staff.

Ceremony highlights and key messages

The event opened with the national anthem and a welcoming address, marking a milestone for reviewing collaborative work and launching a new phase of integrated operations to support fishermen as key partners. The Chairman praised teamwork and thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support, while commending cooperative societies and employees for their contributions.

Launch of the new fisheries strategy

The new strategy was officially launched, outlining a roadmap to develop the fishing sector, empower fishermen, enhance sustainability, strengthen food security, support the local economy, and balance development with marine conservation.

Reviewing 2025 achievements

A visual presentation highlighted the Authority’s key achievements and projects from 2025, showcasing the pillars and future goals of the new strategy.

Recognition of partners and employees

Cooperative societies and members were honoured for their contributions, along with employees who submitted innovative proposals through the “My Suggestion” system. Outstanding managers and staff were also recognised.

The ceremony featured raffles and prizes, reflecting the Authority’s commitment to a motivating work environment and a culture of excellence and innovation.
