Sharjah 24: The Arabian Heritage Centre at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage received a delegation from the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority (SFRA) to introduce the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage.

During the meeting, the organisers outlined the award’s categories and explained how institutions and individuals could take part. The discussion also touched on the role of the award in documenting cultural practices and keeping them in public view.

The two sides also exchanged views on possible areas of cooperation in the future, particularly initiatives that would contribute to strengthening Sharjah’s standing in the field of cultural heritage at regional and international levels.

The meeting was attended by Aisha Al Hussan Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage; Nada Al Muaeini, Director of the Institutional Development Office; Sheikha Al Ketbi and Shamma Al Ali, quality officers; and Noura Al Hammadi and Fatima Al Hammadi from the award’s General Secretariat team.
