Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Municipality has begun implementing the first phase of a project to connect homes to the sewerage network in Al Dhoob neighbourhood, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at developing infrastructure and enhancing quality of life in the city.

Approved phased plan

 

The municipality explained that the first phase includes connecting a number of homes and will continue throughout the first quarter of 2026. The project is being carried out according to anapproved phased plan, which includes identifying the houses covered, ensuring the readiness of internal networks, and commencing technical connections to the main network in coordination with the relevant authorities and in line with approved technical standards.

 

 

First phase in Al Dhoob neighbourhood

 

Dibba Al Hisn Municipality confirmed that Al Dhoob was selected as the initial implementation area based on the readiness of its infrastructure and technical priorities. The project will gradually expand in later phases to include the rest of the city’s neighbourhoods, according to technical preparedness and implementation priorities.

 

 

Efficient coverage and sustainable service

 

 The municipality noted that the growing interest from residents reflects the importance of the project and the community’s need for it, stressing its commitment to delivering the work in an organised and fair manner to ensure efficient coverage and sustainable service.

 

 

Cooperation with technical and field teams

 

Residents of Al Dhoob are urged to cooperate with technical and field teams during the implementation period. The municipality added that details of each new phase will be announced through official channels in due course.
