Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Municipality has rolled out its field response plan as rain continues to affect the area, with crews working to keep roads clear and limit water pooling.

Crews are fully prepared

Specialist teams are working continuously, positioned at critical locations and in low-lying areas that are most vulnerable. They are backed by tankers, pumps and modern machinery, allowing for swift interventions where needed.

Early action on the ground

Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said teams moved from the early hours to deal with standing water and maintain traffic flow along main roads.

He stated that the specialised teams are closely monitoring the drainage networks to ensure their optimal performance and immediate cleaning and maintenance.

Precautionary Closures

As a safety measure, public parks have been temporarily closed. Inspection teams are out on the ground, checking public buildings and waterfront areas to make sure everything remains safe.

Residents are encouraged to report any standing water or blocked roads by calling the Sharjah Contact Centre on 993. The municipality said it will keep a close watch on conditions and act as needed as the weather develops.
