Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Municipality efficiently responded to recent severe weather in the city, which included strong winds that caused construction debris to scatter and several trees to fall across streets.

Reports received and action taken

The municipality received 41 reports from citizens, residents, and relevant authorities, mainly the Dibba Al Hisn Comprehensive Police Station and the municipality’s Inspection Department. Reports were submitted via the Sharjah Call Centre through the municipality’s official channels. Emergency teams worked around the clock to clear roads, remove debris, and restore public safety.

Institutional cooperation and community support

The municipality highlighted that the fast response was due to strong cooperation among government entities, particularly the Sharjah Police General Command and the Sharjah Contact Center, as well as the active participation of citizens and residents in reporting incidents. This collaboration ensured swift field operations and improved emergency handling efficiency.

Restoring normalcy in record time

Municipal teams successfully returned the city to normalcy quickly, clearing streets and ensuring public facilities were safe. This outcome reflects high preparedness and effective coordination among departments.

Statement from the municipality director

Talib Abdullah Al-Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, stated that the quick response was the result of prior preparation and approved emergency plans. He emphasized that municipal departments operate around the clock to manage emergencies, in line with directives from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi to enhance quality of life and maintain a safe urban environment.

Safety reminder and appreciation

Al-Yahyai urged construction site owners to follow safety procedures and secure materials during bad weather. He also praised strategic partners and community members for promptly reporting incidents.
