SDAD holds its Periodic meeting with heads of Parents' Councils

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Districts Affairs Department (SDAD) held a meeting with the heads of parents' councils at the Al Suyoh Suburb Council headquarters. The meeting is part of the department's ongoing efforts to activate the role of parents' councils and strengthen direct communication channels with the educational sector.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) and Head of SDAD, and by Dr Abdullah Suleiman Al Kabouri, Director of the Department.

Reviewing parents’ councils' achievements during 2025

During the meeting, the department's most significant achievements and the outcomes of the parents' councils in 2025 were reviewed, along with the initiatives and quality programmes implemented that contributed to enhancing community participation and supporting students at both educational and behavioural levels.

Activating parents’ councils' roles

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for activating the role of parents' councils and their contribution to identifying behavioural issues and the challenges facing parents and students. The attendees stressed the importance of continuing to hold these periodic meetings to follow up on the outcomes and develop joint initiatives, in order to serve the interests of students, enhance the integration of the roles of the family and the school, and contribute to achieving a positive and sustainable impact on the educational community.
