the Director of Eastern Region Markets affirmed that the livestock markets and slaughterhouses in Khorfakkan and Kalba are fully prepared to receive customers during the Eid Al Adha holidays, with increased operational readiness and additional technical and organisational personnel to accommodate the expected rise in sacrificial animal numbers and ensure the speedy delivery of services according to the highest quality and safety standards.
He explained that the preparations were carried out in cooperation with municipalities and the Eastern Region Police Department to regulate traffic movement, facilitate entry and exit operations, organise customer access, and provide waiting areas equipped with services and hospitality.
Speaking to Sharjah 24, He noted that slaughterhouses will operate on the Day of Arafah from 7am to 7pm, while visitors will be received on the first and second days of Eid Al Adha from 6am to 6pm.
Al Naqbi added that slaughterhouses will receive sheep and livestock only on the first day of Eid, while cattle and camels will be accepted on the second day of Eid Al Adha, affirming Sharjah Asset Management’s commitment to providing integrated services and an exceptional experience that enables customers to perform the sacrificial ritual with ease.
