Sharjah 24: Sultan Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Project Engineer at Sharjah’s Initiatives Implementation Authority, affirmed that the developmental, vital, and cultural projects inaugurated, on Saturday, by His Highness Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in the city of Al Dhaid contribute to enhancing the region and serving its residents. The openings included Al Dhaid Wildlife Museum, Souq Sharia’t Al Dhaid, Al Mudarissa Tower, and Al Dhaid Literary Council.

Al Suwaidi revealed that the projects were designed in a traditional architectural style to reflect the region’s history and authentic identity, aiming to benefit the residents and the people of the Emirate.

He explained to “Sharjah 24” that Al Dhaid Wildlife Museum, a key environmental and tourist project, underwent a complete redevelopment and has been equipped with the latest interactive technology and multimedia tools suitable for all age groups

He also highlighted the inauguration of Al Dhaid Literary Council, under the Department of Culture. This cultural and literary project provides a space for writers and poets to gather, fostering creativity and enriching the local poetry scene. The council includes a hall accommodating around 75 people and a public library accessible to visitors and regular attendees.

Al Suwaidi further pointed to the launch of Souq Sharia’t Al Dhaid, one of the city’s main heritage and tourist destinations. It blends traditional architecture, using natural materials such as sarooj and wood, and features 33 commercial shops. Additionally, Al Mudarissa Tower has been restored and developed to stand proudly as a landmark that tells the story of Al Dhaid and its rich heritage.
