Air Arabia has closed 2025 with its strongest financial performance to date, posting a pre-tax profit of AED 1.8 billion. The budget carrier’s full-year revenue rose to AED 7.78 billion, marking a 15% increase from the previous year, fuelled by a growing passenger base and a significant expansion of its route network.

Growth across the network

The airline welcomed 21.8 million passengers during the year, up 16% compared to 2024, as it added 30 new routes across its hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan. The additions brought Air Arabia’s total network to 219 destinations. Fleet expansion also continued, with nine Airbus A320 family aircraft joining the group, including five brand-new A320neo models, helping the airline meet rising demand while improving fuel efficiency.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohamed Al Thani, Air Arabia’s Chairman, said, “Our results this year reflect the trust our customers place in Air Arabia. We have been able to grow our network, carry more passengers, and maintain affordability, all while generating strong returns for shareholders.”

Strong quarter to finish the year

The final quarter of 2025 proved particularly successful, with net profit reaching AED 405 million and quarterly revenue up 26% to AED 2.12 billion. More than 5.7 million passengers travelled across all hubs in the period, and seat occupancy rose to 87%, showing the airline’s services remain in high demand.

Shareholder returns

The Board of Directors has recommended a cash dividend of 30 fils per share, subject to approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, reflecting confidence in the company’s long-term performance.

Sustainability and recognition

Air Arabia also maintained its strong environmental record, with its Airbus A320neo fleet helping to reduce fuel burn and CO₂ emissions by up to 20%. The airline continues to publish its Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures report and has received a positive rating from CDP for its CO₂ reduction efforts.

The airline’s commitment to passengers and the wider community has not gone unnoticed. In 2025, it was named the "Low-Cost Carrier of the Year" at the Aviation Business Middle East Awards and recognised among the “Top 20 Low-Cost Airlines” by AirlineRatings.com. Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority ranked its Fly Jinnah subsidiary second in punctuality.

Community initiatives

Air Arabia’s corporate social responsibility programme, Charity Cloud, delivered a range of humanitarian projects throughout the year. Highlights included a kidney treatment centre in Egypt, a medical clinic in Bangladesh, and a sustainable water project in Kyrgyzstan. In Ethiopia, four orphanages were built to provide safe homes for children in need.

Adel Al Ali, Group CEO, commented: “While 2025 presented challenges, from geopolitical tensions to inflationary pressures, our focus on service, network growth, and community support has paid off. We are well-positioned for continued success in the year ahead.
