Sharjah24: Sharjah Police, represented by the Vehicles Licensing Department, has announced the start of a campaign to replace number plates on classic and older vehicles with a new design, effective Monday, 16 February 2026, at approved locations across the Emirate of Sharjah.
Approved replacement locations
The department explained that the replacement process will be carried out at the following sites: Tasjeel Village – Sharjah, the Sharjah Classic Cars Club – Sharjah, and Tasjeel Village – Khor Fakkan, in accordance with the approved and regulated procedures.
Call to vehicle owners
The authority called on owners of older vehicles to visit one of the designated locations to replace their current plates with the new design, in line with the latest updates to the vehicle licensing system.
Ongoing service development
Sharjah Police reaffirmed its continued commitment to developing its services and strengthening initiatives aimed at improving service quality, keeping pace with best practices and enhancing customer satisfaction.
