SBA presents inspiring Ramadan programmes

Sharjah24: Sharjah Broadcasting Authority is accompanying audiences on a distinctive spiritual journey this Ramadan with a rich schedule of religious and faith-based programmes across its television and radio channels. The line-up reflects its mission to promote Islamic values, reinforce moderation and balance, and provide daily doses of religious awareness and spiritual reflection throughout the holy month.

Sharjah TV

Sharjah TV presents a range of religious shows, including In the Presence of a Surah, which highlights the eloquence of Quranic expression and offers interpretation of verses with a focus on precise meanings and grammar. The programme is presented by Mohamed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Authority, in discussion with Dr Amhamed Safi Al-Mustghanemi, Secretary- General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, and airs Monday to Thursday at 13:10.

The channel also airs The Sent Wind, a radio-television programme supporting charitable and humanitarian projects run locally and internationally by Sharjah Charity International, including iftar meals, well-digging, medical treatment and school construction, broadcast Monday to Thursday at 14:30.

Servants of the Most Merciful explores Prophetic hadiths through explanation, verification and discussion of their ethical and educational messages. It is presented by Dr Rashid bin Fatis Al Hajri and airs daily at 18:25.

Fatwas, presented by Sheikh Salem Al Doubi, answers viewers’ questions via phone, email and social media, airing daily at 15:17 and also on Sharjah Radio.

Then I Was Guided shares stories of new Muslims from various nationalities and their journeys to Islam, broadcast daily at 19:35.

Al Sharqiya from Kalba TV

Programmes include Quranic Recitations, which teaches children proper recitation in a simple, engaging style at 17:30 daily, and Companions of the Prophet, highlighting the lives of the Prophet’s companions at 16:30 daily.

Al Wusta from Al Dhaid TV

Light of the Quran offers interpretation and reflections on the Quran at 13:00, while The Virtue of Supplications presents traditional prayers to inspire contemplation, airing daily at 15:00.

Sharjah 2 TV

Under the slogan “Experience Ramadan”, the channel broadcasts multilingual content in Arabic, English, Urdu, Persian and Swahili. Key programmes include the Ramadan Council discussion show, Path of the Muslim Youth, Influential Voices, and Mothers of the Believers, alongside numerous inspirational series such as Ramadan Moments and The Islamic Perspective.

Sharjah Holy Quran TV

In addition to distinguished recitations and complete readings, the channel features new specialised programmes covering interpretation, recitation sciences, correction of reading and spiritual reflections.

Sharjah Quran Radio

The station offers programmes including Quran Vocabulary, Mihrab Recitations, The Prophetic Household, and a new segment broadcast between the call to prayer and the iqamah, providing guidance and supplications that foster tranquillity.

Sharjah Radio

Religious shows include Light in Their Hearts, which highlights the impact of memorising the Quran on children, alongside other Quranic and spiritual features and short reflective segments.

Pulse 95 Radio

The English-language station presents Messenger of Mercy, an inspiring short series focusing on universal values rooted in Islamic teachings, such as tolerance, compassion and respect, shared via its social media platforms.
