UAE Volley Super Club Super Cup brings together eight clubs

Sharjah 24: The UAE Volleyball Association has confirmed that eight clubs will participate in this season’s Super Cup, with the competition set to begin on 17 March and run until 29 March.
The clubs confirmed for the tournament are Al Nasr, Ajman, Al Jazira, Hatta, Bani Yas, Al Wasl, Al Ain, and Shabab Al Ahli.

Knockout ties to open the competition

The tournament will be played in two stages. The opening round will feature the eight teams matched according to their league standings, with the ties played as single-elimination fixtures at neutral venues.

Al Nasr face Ajman at Mleiha Club Hall, while Al Jazira take on Hatta at Al Wasl Club Hall. Bani Yas meet Al Wasl at Al Ain Club Hall, and Al Ain go head-to-head with Shabab Al Ahli at Al Jazira Club Hall. All four matches are scheduled for 17 March.

Four-team final stage

The four winners from the opening round will move on to the second stage, which will be played as a single round-robin tournament.

Matches will be staged at the home venue of the team that finished highest in the league standings among the four qualifiers. The deciding stage will take place over three days, from 27 to 29 March, with the team that finishes at the top of the standings crowned Super Cup champions.
