Sharjah 24: Wolverhampton Wanderers came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Brentford in the final match of Matchday 30 of the English Premier League, a disappointing result that brings the team closer to relegation.

Italian Michael Kayode (22) and Brazilian Igor Tiago (37) scored for Brentford, while Adam Armstrong (44) and substitute Nigerian Tuluwalasi Arokodari (78) secured a point for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Occupying the 17th position

Wolverhampton Wanderers, currently in last place, are 12 points behind Nottingham Forest, who occupy the safe 17th position, although they have played one more game than their relegation rivals.

Wolves are on the verge of returning to the Championship for the first time since the 2017-18 season, after eight seasons in the Premier League, where their best finish was seventh place in their first two seasons.

The team finished last season in 16th place and narrowly avoided relegation, but they have failed to improve this season despite surprising wins in their first two matches against Aston Villa and Liverpool, and a draw against Arsenal.

They were also knocked out of the FA Cup after losing to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Brentford moved up to seventh place with 45 points.
