Sharjah 24 — Sharjah Police (SP) has added the Grenadier to its fleet of patrol vehicles, marking the latest step in the force's ongoing drive to strengthen its operational capabilities and raise the standard of its field readiness. The move comes through a strategic partnership with the Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre.

The decision reflects Sharjah Police's broader commitment to fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors and embracing advanced solutions in modern policing—deploying specialised vehicles capable of performing across a wide range of environments and conditions.

Built for the toughest conditions

The Grenadier is an outstanding reconnaissance vehicle. It is designed to navigate challenging terrain and harsh conditions, featuring a powerful, high-performance engine, four-wheel drive, and a robust chassis intended for heavy-duty use. The vehicle is outfitted with sophisticated technical features, including contemporary communication systems and field support apparatus, all designed to enhance officers' operational efficiency during security operations. Moreover, it provides improved safety and comfort for personnel operating in the field.

Private sector partnership

Sharjah Police stressed that bringing this vehicle into service underscores its determination to deepen integration with private sector partners and draw on global expertise in the development of its security operations—keeping pace with international best practices and raising the quality of services delivered to the community.

This latest addition is, in many ways, a statement of intent — a reflection of the force's vision to build a fully integrated security ecosystem, grounded in innovation and institutional collaboration, and geared towards a safer, better-quality life for all in the emirate.
