Organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in coordination with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, the event featured folk performances, traditional crafts, and heritage products. The celebrations continued at the Shees Rest Area until 4:00 PM, aiming to highlight Emirati heritage and strengthen national identity. The event witnessed strong public attendance.
Al Naqbi said that the event reflected the authenticity of Emirati heritage and was well attended. It included folk performances, live demonstrations of traditional crafts such as Talli embroidery and other handicrafts, as well as a display of heritage products representing traditional life.
In statements to Sharjah 24, Mohammed Al Naqbi noted that the celebrations continued at the Shees Rest Area from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, offering a broader cultural experience that combined community participation with educational value.
He emphasised that the strong public turnout and diverse programme reflect the richness of Shees’ cultural and tourism assets. He added that the events help provide an integrated experience that combines heritage and environment, strengthening national identity and raising awareness of the importance of preserving heritage.
