Familiar faces on the first day
The visits were attended by Brigadier General Dr Ali Ahmed Abu Al Zoud, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Community Protection and Safety, alongside Brigadier Faisal bin Nassar, Director General of the General Directorate of Community Prevention and Protection; his deputy Brigadier Dr Tareq Al Midfa; Brigadier Ahmed Al Marri, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department; and Brigadier Dr Mohammed Butti, Director of the Security Media Department. Their presence on the ground, rather than behind a desk, set the tone for everything that followed.
Flags, faces, and a feeling of belonging
Students received UAE flags during the visits, a simple gesture that carried genuine weight. For many of the children, it was their first day back after the summer, and being greeted by police officers bearing national flags made the occasion feel special. The Little Police character also participated in the activities, spending time with the students as they acclimated to their new environment on the first day. It was the kind of interaction that stays with a child — relaxed, friendly, and built on trust rather than formality.
A Safe society and a leading police
Sharjah Police pointed out that the project fits perfectly with its guiding vision of "A Safe Society and a Leading Police", which puts a lot of emphasis on getting the community involved, especially young people. The police send a strong message when they talk to students on their first day of school: keeping society safe and together is more than just following the law. It means raising a generation that knows what their responsibilities are, loves their country, and sees the police as a normal part of life instead of a far-off authority.
