The Martyr Sultan bin Huwaiden Mosque witnessed a significant launch this week, hosting Dr Yousef Mohammed Al-Maani, Professor of Tafsir and Quranic Sciences at Jumeira University. He addressed the theme of "Family and Social Etiquette" through Surah An-Nur, presenting an analytical reading inspired by At-Tabari's interpretation. This reading connects the depth of the interpretive heritage with the educational needs of the contemporary family.
From the first day, the council saw a remarkable turnout from the residents of Al Dhaid and the surrounding areas, who flocked to the gathering between Maghrib and Isha prayers to benefit from this scholarly resource. This vibrant interaction reflects the keenness of the people of the Central Region to attend directly and benefit from the knowledge of scholars and academics, thus strengthening the position of scholarly councils as platforms for intellectual dialogue and the development of values.
The organisation of the scholarly council in Al Dhaid embodies Al Muntada Al Islami’s strategy of achieving geographical expansion and ensuring the reach of its 2026 cultural programmes to all areas of the emirate. This project aims to solidify the concept of mosque architecture through scholarly lessons that contribute to raising community awareness and provide an educational environment where students meet directly with sheikhs and specialists, receiving knowledge from its authentic source.
Al Muntada continues its daily sessions in Al Dhaid, presenting a comprehensive model of institutional work that combines scholarly grounding with community engagement to disseminate moderate thought and instill values, in line with the Emirate of Sharjah's vision of supporting the intellectual and cultural journey.
