His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across key sectors, including investment, development, renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure, within the framework of the UAE–Kenya Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Both leaders affirmed their commitment to advancing the objectives of the CEPA and building on the positive momentum in relations to unlock new opportunities for economic and development cooperation that support shared prosperity.
The meeting also reviewed developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional and international security and stability, as well as their impact on maritime security and the global economy.
The two sides discussed recent attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure in the region, with President Ruto reiterating Kenya’s condemnation and describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law that undermine regional peace and security.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and a number of ministers and officials.
