Mleiha Municipality intensifies preparations for Eid Al-Adha

Sharjah 24: Mleiha Municipality has completed all preparations at its municipal slaughterhouse as part of its operational plan to receive sacrificial animals during the Eid al-Adha season. This ensures the provision of comprehensive services in accordance with the highest public health and safety standards, and facilitates procedures for customers.

His Excellency Musbeh Saif Awad Al Ketbi, Director of Mleiha Municipality, accompanied by Awad Saeed Hareb Al Ketbi, Director of the Municipality's Support Services Department, inspected the slaughterhouse's facilities.

Ensuring the implementation of approved health and environmental regulations

The preparations included equipping the slaughterhouse with the necessary equipment and tools, enhancing the readiness of the slaughtering, receiving, and delivery facilities, and increasing the number of veterinary, technical, and administrative staff to ensure the swift completion of transactions and efficient workflow.

The municipality also ensured the implementation of regular cleaning and sanitisation procedures within and around the slaughterhouse, and verified the readiness of the safe waste disposal systems, in accordance with approved health and environmental regulations.

The Director of the Municipality affirmed that these preparations are part of the municipality's commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment for the public, ensuring the safety of sacrificial animals, and guaranteeing that they undergo veterinary inspection before and after slaughter, thus safeguarding public health.

The Mleiha Municipality urged the public to adhere to the announced schedules and regulations, and to utilise the available services to facilitate the smooth and efficient receipt and delivery of sacrificial animals during the Eid holidays.
