Sharjah 24: Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club achieved a remarkable feat at the Sharjah Taekwondo Council Championship, hosted by Kalba Club, in the junior and youth categories, with wide participation from clubs across the emirate.

Seven medals

Mleiha's athletes won seven medals: one gold, one silver, and five bronze, clearly demonstrating the team's improved performance and growing presence in individual sports championships.

The championship saw a highly competitive atmosphere, reflecting the increasing interest in taekwondo. The awards ceremony was held in the presence of His Excellency Rashid Saeed bin Freish Al Kindi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, and representatives of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC): Jassim Al Doukhi, Hudhaifa Al Kindi, and Waleed Al Mashhout.

High preparation quality

Salem Rashid Al Ketbi, Secretary General of the Mleiha Club, affirmed that this achievement reflects the organised work within the club and the integration of technical and administrative efforts. He praised the players' performance and competitive spirit, noting the club's pride in the outstanding results achieved by the players, which reflect the quality of preparation. He also commended the Sharjah Sports Council's efforts in organising these high-quality tournaments that contribute to developing the sport and honing the players' skills.

Al Ketbi emphasised the club's continued support for individual sports and its commitment to working according to development plans aimed at achieving more accomplishments in the coming period and preparing a generation of athletes capable of representing the club in various events.
