Sharjah win UAE Handball Cup for junior category

Sharjah24: Sharjah Handball Team won the UAE Handball Cup in the junior category after defeating Dibba Al Hisn Handball Team 27-19 in the final at Sharjah Club Hall on Saturday.

The triumph marked Sharjah’s sixth consecutive title and the seventh in the club’s history in the competition.

League and cup double achieved

With the victory, Sharjah’s junior handball team completed the league and cup double for the 2025-2026 season.

The season featured 17 clubs, while the UAE Cup competition was held over five knockout rounds.

Officials crown champions

The gold medals and championship trophy were presented to Sharjah by Yasser Alai Al Naqbi, Board Member of the UAE Handball Federation and Chairman of the Referees Committee, and by Mona Al Raisi, Board Member of the federation and Chairperson of the Media and Corporate Communication Committee.

Dibba Al Hisn received the silver medals.

Presence of club and federation officials

The final and the award ceremony were attended by Mohammed Saleh Al Ali, Board Member of Sharjah Club and Head of Team Sports; Jassim Mohammed, Supervisor of Sharjah Handball; and Badr Al Hammadi, Supervisor of the youth handball teams.
