Al Khalidiyah Council launches "Eid Fruits" initiative

The initiative embodies the highest values of social cohesion and human solidarity, and underscores the deep bonds between the suburbs and their residents. This pioneering social initiative is directed towards deserving families in the suburb, aiming to share the joy of the blessed days and bring happiness to their hearts with the arrival of Eid Al Adha 2026.

Expanding distribution scope

This year, the initiative saw a significant expansion in the scale of its distribution, including the preparation and distribution of a generous quantity of 132 large fruit baskets, carefully selected to reflect the generosity of hospitality and adorn the "Eid Fwala" tables in the homes of the beneficiaries. The initiative was not limited to providing in-kind support; it was characterised by a spirit of on-the-ground giving. The distribution process was carried out under the direct and continuous supervision of the council chairman and his deputy, with the tireless participation of members, staff, and the volunteer committee, all of whom eagerly sought to bring smiles to the faces of the residents.

Strengthening social ties and fostering brotherhood between the council and residents

On this auspicious occasion, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiyah Council, stated: "The council prioritises and sustainably implements such initiatives, which transcend their material value to become a strong bridge for strengthening social ties and fostering brotherhood between the council and the residents. This step represents a vital extension and complement to the regular humanitarian initiatives that the council has been organising throughout the year."

His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri added in his statement: “The essential and supreme goal that we seek behind “Eid Fruits” is to translate the effective competencies of the council into reality, which aim to achieve social solidarity in its comprehensive sense, and to ensure that this blessed Eid does not pass without all the residents sharing their joy with us, so that Al Khalidiyah suburb always remains one family united by cohesion and harmony.”
