The Social Welfare Department's Director, Nawal Al Hamdi, expressed satisfaction with the Pink Caravan mobile clinic team's efforts to provide clinical examinations and mammogram screenings for early detection of breast cancer. Al Hamdi emphasised the importance of early detection in raising awareness of the disease and expediting patient response to treatment when the disease is identified early. The Foundation is committed to ongoing efforts to promote the health and well-being of its members and encourage them to embrace a healthy lifestyle, as part of its focus on health empowerment.
According to Al Hamdi, the health empowerment program is of utmost importance as it aims to enhance health and prevention and provide members with awareness of healthy habits. The Foundation offers various health services to support its members, including programs, medical assistance, and information to instill healthy habits and correct misconceptions. The Foundation also conducts programs, projects, workshops, and dialogue sessions to create a supportive environment for health, making each member feel valued and important.
Dr. Hanaa Mohammed, a Radiology Technician, reiterated the ongoing efforts of the Pink Caravan, an initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients Association, in raising awareness about early detection of breast cancer. She mentioned that they were collaborating with the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation to offer mammogram screenings to the Foundation's beneficiaries.
The Foundation has developed comprehensive plans to collaborate with community institutions to improve health care for both orphans and their guardians. This initiative is part of a broader effort to empower members of the community and create a nurturing environment that helps them adapt to their circumstances. The Foundation is committed to delivering high-quality integrated services that cater to the needs of orphan families, with a focus on building a well-rounded support system to empower orphans and facilitate their holistic development.
