Awareness was raised in Kalba as the Friends of Arthritis Patients Association organised their third campaign, "Summer Without Osteoporosis." Employees and workers from both public and private institutions came together to participate in the event, which took place at the Suhaila Suburb Council in Kalba on Thursday.
According to Al Harthi, Kalba has been chosen as the last destination for the campaign in the eastern cities. This comes after successful events in Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid, which were organized in collaboration with the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs.
During an interview with “Sharjah24”, she highlighted the campaign's impressive success at its different locations. She emphasized the significant participation of numerous government and private sector institutions in the campaign.
She mentioned that the campaign played a crucial role in increasing awareness about osteoporosis, among different community groups. This was achieved through informative lectures, educational competitions, free medical check-ups, and fun recreational activities suitable for people of all ages.
