Sharjah24: Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), announced that the Council achieved success in 2024 by presenting a parliamentary model that effectively reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah. This model encourages community involvement and policy formulation, aiding in the sustainable development of the emirate.
In 2024, notable accomplishments included the endorsement of nine new laws, 247 parliamentary interventions, 188 enquiries aimed at government officials, and 81 proposals submitted by members and the public.
In addition, the Council resolved 120 citizen complaints and presented 16 recommendations to the government. The Council convened 62 committee meetings and undertook 25 field visits to improve decision-making processes.
Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, SCC Secretary-General, emphasized the Secretariat's vital function in bolstering the Council's initiatives in harmony with Sharjah's vision for ongoing development under the guidance of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah.
