During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted of the most prominent observations and views raised by Council members during the plenary session. This included discussions on strengthening the roles of suburban councils and activating their community initiatives, as well as continuing to develop the performance of parent-teacher associations to support the educational process, solidify the partnership between families and schools, and enhance direct communication with various segments of society.

The committee also discussed the importance of these recommendations. Attendees included Dr Sultan Khamis Al-Zaabi, Rapporteur of the Committee for Drafting Recommendations; Ibrahim Mohammed Juma Al-Mansouri; Issa Abdullah Al-Kalbani; Sultan Ali Al-Musafri; Mohammed Ali Bin Salem Al-Ketbi; and Dr Obaid Ahmed Khasaw Al-Naqbi. Developing suburban councils role as a link between the community and government entities

The Committee discussed the main themes upon which the final recommendations will be based. These themes aim to align with the requirements of the current phase, enhance the continued efficiency of the institutional performance of SDAD and its councils, and contribute to the integration of community and development efforts, particularly those related to supporting family stability and expanding the scope of impactful community initiatives.

The committee focused its discussion on the importance of developing the roles of suburban councils as an effective link between the community and government entities. It also emphasised the need to empower parent-teacher associations to more effectively fulfil their educational and community missions, thereby enhancing family participation in supporting the educational process and aligning with the Emirate of Sharjah's aspirations to build a generation that is aware and committed to its values and identity.

Serving the community and achieving sustainable development in Sharjah

The committee affirmed that SCC role is to support government policies by providing constructive recommendations that reflect community needs and contribute to improving institutional performance. This, in turn, enhances the quality of life in the Emirate of Sharjah and supports the comprehensive vision of empowering the community and consolidating its stability.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee agreed to proceed with drafting the final version of the recommendations, in preparation for presenting them to the Council at a future session for approval. This will contribute to supporting the efforts of SDAD and its councils, and strengthen their vital role in serving the community and achieving sustainable development in the Emirate.
