Sharjah24: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote the message of the “Neighbours of the Prophet” endowment project, the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) continues to conduct introductory and awareness tours across various government institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah. The initiative aims to introduce employees and officials to the project’s developmental and humanitarian goals while reinforcing the values of social responsibility, solidarity, and community partnership.

The recent tours saw widespread participation from various entities, as SSEF representatives outlined the project’s goals and emphasised its role in supporting and empowering orphans and their families through sustainable endowment-based initiatives. The project embodies the values of generosity and compassion that underpin the foundation of the Emirate of Sharjah, under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, stated, “These introductory tours come as part of the Foundation’s commitment to expanding the scope of community partnerships and promoting awareness of endowment as a sustainable development tool. The project empowers beneficiary families and ensures the sustainability of giving.”

She mentioned that the initiative reflects the Foundation’s goal of establishing endowment income sources to fund empowerment programmes for orphaned children and their families, describing each contribution as a humanitarian investment that benefits both donor and recipient.

Government leaders praise the initiative’s impact

Representatives from the participating institutions commended the project for strengthening Sharjah’s humanitarian identity and promoting a culture of giving and shared responsibility.

His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Human Resources, said, “We commend the ‘Neighbours of the Prophet’ project, which represents an inspiring model of sustainable humanitarian work. It reflects Sharjah’s vision of supporting and empowering orphans and fostering solidarity within the community.”

He mentioned that the Department of Human Resources was proud to host the project’s pavilion to introduce employees to its objectives, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, who has prioritised human beings as the focus and aim of development.

His Excellency Dr Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Holy Quran Complex, said: ‘The ‘Neighbours of the Prophet’ project embodies the values of giving and cooperation deeply rooted in Emirati society. It serves as a sustainable model for empowering orphans and ensuring their future security, while reflecting Sharjah’s commitment to compassionate and responsible humanitarian action.”

His Excellency Eng. Salem Hamed Al Abdooli, Director of Sharjah Department of Housing, stated: “This project reflects the noble values of humanitarian giving and social solidarity upon which Sharjah was founded. Hosting this initiative reinforces our role in promoting sustainable humanitarian work that ensures a decent life for orphans and strengthens the culture of endowment as a cornerstone of development.”

Continuing the mission of compassion and empowerment

The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation continues to expand its awareness campaign for the “Neighbours of the Prophet” endowment project throughout Sharjah and other emirates, seeking to involve more institutions and individuals. Through these efforts, the Foundation aims to grow the community support base and enhance the project’s positive impact on the lives of children who have lost their fathers, helping them build a secure, dignified, and hopeful future.
