Sharjah Social Empowerment organises Iftar for its beneficiaries

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation organised a Ramadan Iftar that brought together the Foundation’s male employees with the Foundation’s affiliated youth and their families, at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC), under their generous sponsorship and hosting, in an atmosphere of friendship and closeness. This is part of the foundation's commitment to strengthening social bonds and fostering positive interaction between students and staff.

The Iftar organisation comes as a result of the Foundation’s interest in creating a supportive environment based on team spirit and community cohesion, as the meeting provided an opportunity for direct communication and friendly conversation in a Ramadan atmosphere that reflects the values of familiarity and belonging. It contributes to strengthening the human connection between the children and the members of the institution.

 

Reflecting the spirit of giving and community cooperation

 

Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Foundation, confirmed: “We express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC) for their generous sponsorship and hosting of the Iftar, which contributed to the success of the Ramadan initiative and created a distinctive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of giving and community cooperation."Such Ramadan gatherings reflect our approach to building bridges of communication with orphaned children and enhancing their sense of belonging, by providing social spaces that bring them together with the staff in an atmosphere that supports their empowerment and strengthens the spirit of one family. It fosters positive communication between members and the institution, contributing to building supportive social bonds that strengthen the sense of belonging and inclusion among children and their families.

 

Empowering orphans and their families

 

Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi added: These initiatives come within the framework of the Foundation’s direction to enhance the quality of life of children, in a Ramadan atmosphere characterised by familiarity and human closeness. This organization comes within an integrated methodology aimed at empowering orphans and their families, by providing interactive spaces that support their stability. In addition to fostering a culture of social solidarity, reflecting the foundation's mission to achieve sustainable empowerment and build a more cohesive society.

 

Strengthening human connection with children

 

For her part, Her Excellency Wafaa Taymour, CEO of Sharjah Hospitality Services Group, stated: “In conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and in response to the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of Sharjah Family and Community Council to support initiatives and have a positive impact on society, at JRCC, we sponsored and organised an Iftar banquet for orphans and their families in coordination with the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation. We were delighted to host the children and their families, and we always strive to be a part of the joy and happiness of all members of the community and to serve them to the fullest extent.

 

This Iftar embodies one of the social initiatives organised by the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation during the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to strengthen human connection with children and create a positive social environment that supports their journey towards independence and empowerment.
