Announced via Sharjah 24, the initiative highlights the Foundation’s commitment to fostering meaningful community engagement during the holy month.
Inspired by authentic Emirati traditions
Rooted in longstanding Emirati customs that celebrate togetherness and connection during Ramadan, the “Ramadan Ghabga” aims to give children the opportunity to experience a traditional social gathering similar to those enjoyed by their peers.
The initiative helps nurture a sense of belonging and participation while safeguarding families’ privacy and encouraging positive social integration.
Strengthening social wellbeing alongside material support
Mariam Al Khalifa, Director of Relations and Sponsorship Affairs at the Foundation, described the programme as one of the key social tracks under the “Zakki” campaign. She noted that the Foundation seeks to address the diverse needs of families during Ramadan, stressing that social support is just as vital as other forms of assistance.
She added that initiatives focusing on social connection play an essential role in strengthening family ties and promoting a spirit of community involvement.
Ongoing commitment throughout Ramadan
Based in Sharjah, the Foundation continues to roll out a series of Ramadan initiatives under the “Zakki” campaign. These efforts reflect its dedication to delivering comprehensive programmes that address both the social and economic needs of beneficiary families, while enhancing their overall quality of life during the holy month.
