The award ceremony is part of the SDAD ongoing efforts to enhance institutional excellence, improve the work environment, and instill a culture of outstanding performance across its various councils and departments.
The ceremony included a segment titled "Moments with an Inspiration," during which speakers Sheikha Rawda Khalid Al Qasimi, Wadima Khalid Al Naqbi, and Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Kamali shared real-life experiences containing motivational messages about teamwork and the importance of perseverance in achieving goals. This aligns with the award's mission and philosophy of promoting a culture of initiative and innovation. The award's organising committee also reviewed examples of projects and initiatives nominated for the second cycle of the award, reflecting a high level of competitiveness and quality in administrative, supervisory, and community-related fields.
The presentation demonstrated the significant improvement in participation compared to last year, a result of increased awareness of the award's criteria and the commitment of councils and administrations to enhancing their performance.
In a gesture of appreciation, the department honoured the collaborating entities that contributed to supporting and implementing the Buroo Award, recognising their active partnership and role in promoting institutional excellence.
The ceremony concluded with the awarding of prizes to the winners in the various categories. Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi and Dr Abdullah Sulaiman Al Kabouri presented the awards to the winners in the supervisory and administrative categories, the best project category, and the categories of best district council and best parents' council.
The Al Rahmaniya District Council won first place, followed by the Al Hamriyah District Council in second place, and the Dibba Al Hisn City Council in third place. In the category of student parents' councils, the Sharjah Student Parents' Council came in first place, while the Khorfakkan Student Parents' Council came in second place.
