This initiative is part of a strategic plan aimed at improving infrastructure efficiency and enhancing its readiness to respond to emergencies.
The "Aman" system is an integrated system that connects fire systems in facilities to the operations rooms of the General Directorate of Civil Defence and "Sanad," contributing to reduced response times and immediate fire response through centralised monitoring operating 24/7.
This vital project reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at establishing a culture of prevention and safety in all government facilities and providing the highest levels of protection for employees and visitors.
During the first phase, the department completed the preparation of 154 sites, where the equipment was installed by the relevant authority. The second phase includes the preparation of an additional 227 sites, according to a precise timetable and a comprehensive work plan aimed at covering all government buildings in Sharjah.
The "Aman" system is distinguished by its compatibility with various fire alarm systems used in commercial and government buildings. Its ability to quickly detect and monitor any alarm signal or malfunction expedites intervention and firefighting efforts, contributing to reduced human and material losses.
The new system also includes an advanced early warning system, along with specialised emergency and rapid evacuation equipment, all conforming to the latest international standards in this field.
This initiative is expected to enhance incident response efficiency, mitigate potential risks, and provide a safe working environment that supports institutional stability and aligns with the Emirate of Sharjah's aspirations for leadership in quality of life and government services.
SDPW confirmed that the preparation work will be carried out according to a well-defined schedule and in full coordination with relevant authorities to ensure uninterrupted service delivery to the public.
